We all know who Cliff Burton is. Most of us know that he used a Electro-Harmonix Big Muff and an old school Morley Power Wah. Or did he? Take a look at the picture below. There's Cliff, and in the background three pedals. In the center is the Power Wah. To the left is some ibanez-looking green pedal, and to the right a black pedal. The black pedal isn't a Big Muff. What are those two pedals? Mystery...

I have no idea what the one on the right is

I think he used whatever he could get his hands on... or in this case foot.
No matter what kind of fuzz/distortion and/or wah, any of this type of pedals would've worked for Cliff.
So they should be working for you, just play like him, don't try to sound like him.

| | | | i think it looks too big to be a boss single pedal (the one on the right)
but no matter what people think it looks like we're probably not going to come to an agreement
and that's interesting about the pickups

You can see two large knobs on the left and right front of the pedal; the CS-3's four smaller knobs would look different.
Myself, I'm calling Blues Driver - as if we'll ever know. |
