Clips of Envelope Filter in a Feedback Loop?

Sign in to disble this ad
Im planning on buying the Eye of God by Devi Ever, and got to thinking about what an envelope filter would sound like in it. Anyone have any experience with that? Sounds like it could be very interesting.

Haven't tried it myself, but I can tell you what it WILL sound like - the death of your cabinet if you aren't careful. Most envelope filters put out major volume spikes on their own. I can't imagine something like the DODFX25 in a feedback loop.

I use env filters in floop all the time. It probably won't be the death of your cabinet, because before it could get that loud the summing circuit in whatever your using for the floop will probably clip. Assuming that's how the floop pedal works.

Anyway, env filter in a floop will sound many different ways depending on what else you have with it and what the settings are, but here's my track, "Empty The Vats." http://speakonion.swizcorp.com/audio...The%20Vats.mp3

That is a sub-octave, distortion, trem, and envelope filter in a floop and then into a delay. That's all it is. So, all the THUMPS are made by the down-sweep setting on the filter, and most of the screetches are from the up-sweep setting and the filter sweeps are me going from one to the other.

While we're on the subject, my favorite filter in a feedback loop is the Ashdown filter (as heard on that track and most of my noise tracks and almost every live show I've ever done), but I'd love something smaller, so I'm looking for clips of the EBS filter in a floop if anyone has one.

See this post: This is a longshot. . . EBS Bass IQ question
