Cold Fat Chorus for Modular Synth Setup

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm using different combinations of the following for my synthy needs: EHX Micro POG, Devi Ever Bit, Subdecay Flying Tomato, EHX Micro Q-Tron. I also have a Stereo Electric Mistress and while I love the pedal, its too bubbly for me to use with fuzz and such. What do you like for tone fattening in your synth setup? I'm looking at Boss (CEB-3 and CE-5) due to their popularity here. Which do you like better and why? Any other recommendations? I am definitely thinking digital on this one. It doesn't have to be organic, it just has to be really fat and cutting with a fuzz, octave->fuzz, fuzz->filter, or any similar combination and refrain from warbling away on funk lines. I don't want something that would be redundant with the SEM.

The Digitech Bass Multichorus is very thick, and spacey. It doesn't sound "organic" but it's ace with fuzz, or synth sweeps.

Man I absolutely love the Flying Tomato. I spent over two hours with it the first day I had it. I run it with a Boss LS-2. If I use the blend function, I can cop some justice-like sounds. Sounds great non-blended too.

Both of those pedals look cool but are sadly too large to fit on my current board without some major pedalboard surgery.
