Colorsound Tonebender Fuzz vs. Colorsound Bass Fuzz?

Sign in to disble this ad
It's my understanding that the tonebender doesn't lose any bottom end as it is ... and the bass fuzz is the same pedal , just made for bass...
they are the same price from the UK..(right around $306 american dollars , shipped)

i have heard the tonebender...and it is an awesome pedal...i was just wondering if anyone could tell me whether the bass fuzz is worth it... ? is there anything it can do for the bass guitar that the tonebender can't ?

thanks

www.mjmguitarfx.com make a killer clone of the 3-knob tonebender.

The clips on the site are on guitar only but the low end sounds massive on it.

Worth considering since it's about 1/2 the price of the colorsound.

I have one and it does take some out of your bottom end. I have mine in a loop with a eq at the end of it to get back what the fuzz takes out (as far as bottom end is concerned)...very nice fuzz

How do you like the WOBO Double Looper? Any switching noise / pops?

The tonebender doesn't steal any low end. I do respect the toolmybass's opinion though.

The bass fuzz is just a little more synthy with the gain maxed out.

normal tonebender can get way too much low end as is. I have the tone knob on mine pointed straight up so the note actually has some definition. It is set for running direct at the moment so...

I have heard the bass fuzz is actually not as good for bass or guitar. In other words, its kind of lame. (that's not coming from personal experience though)
