Thanks for the reply.
To clarify the things a bit: when it comes to the playing style, bass, pups, preamp, EQ and cabs, I can get tonally VERY close. So I kind of miss that compressor only.
I own Markbass Compressore. It's really good, nice sounding and easy to use. I just can't get the same amount of squash out of it (live nor studio) as I can hear on those clips. If I push it really hard, it gets a bit mushy... Or maybe I just can't use it well enough. (don't get me wrong, I really like this pedal! It's the only one I bother to take with me to the gigs)
I'm guessing that I'd need something that could be chained after the EQ. So I could boost the high-mids and squash them. Like 1,2-2kHz area... Does this make any sense? Or have I spent too much time in gearslutz.com?
