Compressor that compares to the one on the Mesa M-Pulse 600?

So I tried and m-pulse 600 at a store last week and the on board compressor on that amp sounded terrific. Any pedals that compare to it?

I'm sure the 'tubiness' of the amp had something to do with it so I was thinking the EBS comp in tube mode may get me in the ball park.

I love the 600's comp, and that head in general. The only pedal I've found that comes anywhere close is the Maxon CP9-Pro+. I've tried the EBS and Demeter and neither one can touch the Maxon IMO.

Yeah, I tried it side by side with the fathom (or carbine) and it was no contest. The 600 will be my 'big rig' head if I ever need one and the comp on it is fantastic.

Out of interest, how are you folks setting the compressor on your MPulse?

Apologies for the derailment...

When I tried it at the store, I had both knobs at noon and it was just about right there.
