Compressor/gate pedal suggestions?

I'm looking for a compressor + gate in a single pedal. Tried searching it with no luck. Preferably MXR-sized and that works fine with bass without cutting any low-end.

Two very different effects. I don't know of a pedal that has both. You'd be better off anyway, getting a good one of each. The ISP Decimator is a great noise gate, EBS MultiComp a pretty good comp.

Actually there are several comp pedals with noise gates, but all of them suck terribly. Generally speaking when a comp pedal includes a noise gate, that's a 99.9% sign that the compressor in it is horribly noisy. There's only one exception that I know of, and I don't recommend it either, for other reasons.

Hm, ok, thanks!

RickenBoogie: I do have the EBS Multicomp and I am quite content with it. It was actually bongomania's review that made me pull the trigger on that one.

To be honest, I don't have that much problem with excess noise. It's mostly hum from my bass(' pickups) and all the dirt boxes in my chain.

If it's hum, then try the EHX Hum De-Bugger. Supposedly it works quite well at killing hum.

Seriously, the ISP Decimator is great for hum, hiss, and feedback.

Apparently, it needs more juice than I can give without using an extra powersupply. I use the Voodoo Lab PP2+.

I used the decimator, then re-thought my signal chain. Got rid of the pedals that were noisey, and freed up the space the Decimator was taking. It's best to eliminate noise at the source, rather than adding a noise reducer into the chain.

I found out that I can order it here in Norway, so I'm really considering it. However, my board is full so that means the Multicomp will probably have to go.

I have the Sansamp BDDI and from what I hear it does compress your signal. It even says so in the manual that you don't need an additional compressor. The BDDI is last in the chain with an EHX Bass Big Muff and EBS Multidrive infront among other pedals. And dirtpedals also compress the signal, so the only reason the Multicomp is there is to limit and avoid volume-peaks (eventhough this does kill dynamics a bit).

My plan is to eventually have the ISP Decimator in front of the Sansamp and after everything else. Don't really have that much problems with noise, but it's nice to have silence whenever I stop playing, instead of having to turn everything off and put my palm on the strings.

Checked the specs and it requires 300mA (12vac). I'm using the Voodoo Lab PP2+ and it can't feed that kind of juice. Thanks though
