Compressor Pedal Advice Please

Sign in to disble this ad
I have some dbx and Behringer compressors that work great but am not currenly using a rack system and find them a pain to carry. Are there any pedal compressors that get close to a DBX 160?

Seems that many here say good things about the Aphex unit but am not sure how it compares to studio gear.

Some people like the Punch Factory, some don't. If you like that really compressed squishy sound, you won't like it. I love mine, because I like a fairly tame compressor. It smoothes out my enevelope filter quite well, and I find myself using it's DI sometimes as well.

If I remember correctly, Maxon's comp. is a DBX in a pedal...

HI

I had the same question a week ago. Bongo has some great reading. Check it out. For a transparent, soft knee type try Maxon, EBS, BBE opto stomp, Demeter. The BBE is by far the least expensive
