Confused about my DOD peddle. Power help please

Ok so I have an old DOD Octoplus octave pedal. I have had for years and just recently decided to put in the chain again. Digging it out I realize the power supply is gone. 10v DC with a small male input like a headphone on a mp3 player. I have tried a 9v DC adapter with said plug and it doesn't give it enough juice. Then I tried an 11V and it stays on and will nit turn off. Yet it runs fine on a 9v battery. I'm confused. I have searched eBay and even scoured the net and can not fine the adapter I need. Does anyone have any ideas and or experienced the same? I will post pics of the pedal and it's stat sheet on the bottom in a few.

ive got a godlyke powerall that came with an adapter for that. you can also use the plug that has the other end of a 9 volt battery on it. ive used both.

ive got 2 DOD pedals, so this was very important for me.

It can run on 9 or 11 V, so I'm betting there was something else wrong with the adapters you tried--like the polarity, or the current available. You need positive-tip polarity, and (being an octaver) probably 150 mA or more of current. It may be your adapters weren't regulated, so the pedal was seeing much higher than the 9 or 11 V on the label.

All the major multi-pedal power supplies come with the correct adapter and generally provide enough current, and are regulated.

The reason it runs fine on a battery is because batteries have extremely high current capability, and the polarity and voltage levels are already adapted correctly from the battery snap to the effect circuit.

With the 1/8" jack you want positive tip, negative sleeve (it's the other way around with Boss type jacks).
