Connecting Zoom B3 - What Do I Need?

I'm buying a (used) Zoom B3 this weekend. This will be my first effects gear and I have no idea how to connect to my rig. My amp is an Eden WT-550.

Firstly, are there different options? E.g. Bass->Zoom B3-> Input on front of amp ... or using the "effects loop"?

Secondly, what are the advantages, disadvantages of each option - and what's the recommended approach?

Lastly, what will I need in terms of cables to connect - and what type - instrument cables?

Thank you VERY much in advance !!!

Just run it throuh the amp input, it will be better to keep it simple.

Agreed. FX pedals normally run straight from bass into amps input. FX loops are generally line level, meant for racked gear.

Sorry, this is the one thing that bugs me most about TalkBass. Why do people feel the need to reply with a-hole comments like this. The OP asked a simple question. He's excited about a new piece of gear he's getting. Why does it bother you so much that you feel you have to take the time to post a snide comment. If it bothers you that much just click back or move to a new thread.

To answer the OP, easiest is best. Bass into B-3, then into amp input. Just use standard instrument cables. You'll be fine.

I did. I was wondering about things not explicitly covered in the manual. I wasn't sure for example if using other hook ups to tha amp like using the effects loop might be better in terms of pre or post eq on the amp. Remember, effects newbie, never used one before.

You may want to try the various options. You can put the B3 in your effects loop, it has its pros and cons. It may well be more complicated than its worth.
You can also bypass your amps preamp section by running your bass into the B3 into the effect return. If you're using a lot of amp/preamp models this might work better.
If you like your amp's voice and use the B3 primarily for effects then bass-B3- input is probably best.
