Copilot Orbit vs. Blue Box + Green Ringer ?

I use a Blue Box going into a BYOC ringer clone and I love them separately and together. BUT... the gate on the BB lacks personality and both are temperamental and have volume issues (the BB is generally weak, but when the ringer is at unity by itself and they're both on I get a big boost). So I figure an Orbit to replace the both of them will cure what ails me.

On the other hand I may be better off with the gated fuzz and ringer on separate switches as I sometimes use each on their own. Also, I'm not wholly convinced that the Orbit can give me the Boris-y/Melvins-y fuzz I get from my current setup.

The questions:
How does the fuzz section of the Orbit compare to a BB on full clean blend?
Is the ring-mod section of the Orbit similar to a green ringer or am I completely mistaken?

check those 2 videos for a more defined idea of the orbit on bass. Have in mind the green ringer is more Octavish/Ring modish and it'll adjust to the note you're playing, while the orbit has a vco built in.

autopilot -- thanks. I'd already seen them, I was just hoping for a direct comparison. Actually, it seems that the John Davis video is the source of my confusion, as the Orbit didn't sound like a traditional VCO ring mod to my ears. Looking at some of the other Copilot videos shows me that you can get a lot more sounds out a ring mod than I thought.

Listening again, you're right, my setup sounds very little like the Orbit, I was just hopeful and trying to keep GAS at bay. I still wish I had a way to try it before buying it.
