Correct Order For Rack Processors In The Signal Chain

Man, that sounds wordy. I'm merely trying to establish the best ie. most efficient and effective signal path for my rack gear in my signal path. Phew. So far and seems to work, I have:
dbx166xl(compressor) ->
Behringer PEQ2200(parametric eq) ->
lexicon MX300(effects) ->
Behringer EX2200(sonic enhancer)
All this is in the effects loop of a Trace Elliot Vtype going out through a Trace Elliot 1048cab.
Really want to hear any yays or nays to this set up, pros and cons etc.

Honestly, it's the same for rack gear as it is for pedals. The only "correct" order is the one that sounds good to you. Looking at the effects you have listed, the only thing that "should" be somewhere particular in the chain is the enhancer, which I'd put at the end right where you have it because the frequency phase changes of its process might be smeared or made irrelevant by running through other fx. IF your effects included a filter with a big volume spike, then I'd put the compressor after that, but you don't have that situation.
