Sign in to disble this ad
Just because I'm obsessed with everything expensive, I'd like to know which is the most expensive effects pedal/unit (including rackmounts) that you know of

This is the most expensive Boss size pedal I could find at £319.61......

There is a price point above which I would n't want to be stomping on something.

I don't know if it's for sure the most expensive, but one contender is the Eventide H8000FW, at $5,500.

Here we go, this is more like it: a compressor that costs $14,000.

And a reverb that also costs $14,000.

But that's rackmount ain't it?
Stompbox! Eventides are pretty hefty themselves. Along with BJFE.
Or if you get crazy old school, retro things sell CRAZY expensive if they work. Like Jet Phasers and Bi-Phasers and the like. Is the Bi-Phaser a pedal? I forget..

For new, retail priced stompboxes, I was thinking the Moog Delay has to be up there, its 700 bucks.

If you want the polished chrome Toneczar Echoczar, that'll be $825

If we're going used, a certain mod around here spent 2,000 for a Schumann PLL a little ways back.

I remember seeing something about a custom D*A*M going for like 2600 bucks.

I know that I've seen original Shin Ei Univibes going for around that much

well . . . if ya want to go rack, I dont think anything will beat a used fairchild. I'm not sure I can even count that high

edit:
here's a pair on ebay for $45,000

for new pedals:

the fulltone tube tape echo is pretty high at around $1100

I guess the moog taurus 3 is a "pedal" at $2k

Jet Phasers are the new Michael Jordan rookie card...only sell well/at all if someone's in the market for one. Haha

The HOG is one of EHX's priciest, but it's worth every penny.

The word 'Lovetone' is merely British slang for 'You can't afford it.'

Check out the Infanem Harmony Synth and the Snazzy FX Mini Ark then. They are both synths based on a PLL-type circuit.

Yea but they were out of stock last time I checked. I've been wanting a Infanem pedal pretty badly...

My question pertains to rackmounts as well. That's why I said 'unit' and not 'pedal'
