Could someone give me a 105q crybaby gutshot?

Sign in to disble this ad
I just received a crybaby in the mail with a broken battery clip (I knew about this beforehand), and I can't seem to find any schematics or gutshots of the pedal online to figure out where the clip needs to be soldered. Could anyone help me out and snap a quick picture of the points where the clip is soldered?

here is the gut shot of mine. I believe there are a couple versions of this pedal though.

The 105Q is just a lowpass filter, isn't it? What do the internal trimpots control?

Hmm, that should work, I'll go wire it up like that and try it.

EDIT: Worked like a charm! Thanks!

The two black trim pots are accessable from the bottom of the pedal on mine, and some pedals allow access from the side I believe. One is a volume for the effect so that the user can match the effect volume to the clean volume. The second is a variable Q.

There are 2 other white trim pots that have dabs of hot glue to hold them in place from the factory, have no clue as to what those are.

Just saw your response in the "I am totally open to any suggestions" thread. Very curious as to what your new pedal is.

I'm pretty sure the ones with hot glue are something for internal voltage. I remember seeing a response here about them from someone at dunlop, whilst I was searching for a gutshot.

Well I'm still working on it, but it's essentially a wah based on the Groove Regulator circuit.

If you insist...

wet/dry blend pot, selectable lowpass/bandpass (wah), adjustable boost via internal trimpot, true bypass.

I'm still working out all the details, but the prototype sounds great on bass and guitar...I'm really excited about this one!

They should be ready sometime this summer. My parts cost is high and it's a pretty labor-intensive pedal to make, so I'll be making them in low quantities and selling them direct.

Glad we solved the OP's issue, otherwise I'd feel bad about us hijacking the thread around post 5

Nah! I have three Dunlops here on the bench. This is a 3Leaf we're talking about!

Ok, anything else on the 105?

If you replace the two bigger electrolytic caps in the 105q with higher quality ones and carefully set the mechanical throw of the pedal the 105q really comes to life. It's pretty easy & cheap to do for how much better it winds up sounding.
