Crackling

Sign in to disble this ad
I am running an ibanez eda905 through a tuner, sansamp bass driver, chorus, flanger, then to the amp.

Today I noticed some cracking when the effects being used. Particularly the chorus and flanger. The batteries are all new and I am a little concerned.

Is this where a compressor would need to come in? Any ideas? My amp is fine when plugged straight in.

you need to define "cracking" better. If I had to guess, I would bet that the Piezos are running too hot though...

The cracking comes from running the chorus or flanger and hitting multiple notes at the same time. Like an octave chord. It cracks like it's bottoming out. I still hear the notes by there's a definite electric buzz crack that happens.

pedal maker/models?

If they are cheap pedals, then there you go. You get what you pay for.
