Wait....Isn't that the bass"The Hutchster"played?

If it's the same Guild model Hutch Hutchinson played with Bonnie Raitt (and MANY,MANY other artists),I'd l-o-v-e to have one to add to the ol' "stable".
I've ALWAYS LOVED the tone that The Hutchster "squeezed" out of these/those Guilds. I've considered gettin' one,it'd be nice, for sure. But,to be quite honest,I'm just way too tight, when it comes to basses'n'gear. After all,I've not purchased a bass,or ampflification since 1996 (or '97). Just strings'n'cords & p.a.!! I know,I know....I'm a cheap-ass!! I'm just w-a-y too interested in buying rental properties at the moment. That's alright....The REAL fun will come once my main priorities are done,or retirement(if I make there!) comes around. BUT (and that's a b-i-g but!!),I'm just worried about that muddy-assed tone that I assume that pup is known to produce (Gibson Eb-Series?).
If you need to realize,I have 2 main gigging basses: A real deal 1975 Jazz (with a Bad-ass),run thru an old-school,clip-on Sadowksy pre. And,a pre-Gib Tobias 5. So,needless to say,I'm an active bass kinda guy.

BTW..... What's the scale length on these puppies???

Its a 30" scale length.
The Hagstrom bi-sonic was a single coil pickup, which came stock in this bass. It sounds amazing to me but they're not for everyone.
Rare to find one on ebay now days. Does Fred Hammon still make re-pros?

Don't know much about the Hutchster yet though. I'll bet he sounds great rocking a bass like this.
