I recently had the Fulltone Bass-drive and While I loved the pedal, it just cost me to much so I had to sell it. I liked the crunchy overdrive sound it provided. Anyone have any alternatives to this pedal for a little less than $150?? |

Dirt boxes that can do crunchy on bass without a ton of gain are pretty rare. For instance, I love the Tech 21 XXLB but it is far from an overdrive. It's a heavy distortion. A HAO Rust Ride can do that a bit but it loses low end and runs about $150 new.
I can think of some "warm" sounding overdrives for fairly cheap (DOD 250, Bad Monkey etc) but not crunchy. |

This one would probably be closer to the Bass Drive: http://www.olcircuits.com/olc_mintcondition.html |
