Cry Baby GCB-95 on a bass

Sign in to disble this ad
I've had the GCB-95 for several years for my guitar. I never really thought of using it with my bass until now. I've no effect pedals for my bass, just my tuner pedal. I'm all up for experimenting stuff, so I'm wondering, anyone ever used this model on their bass? Is that version of wah very different from the bass (I'm guessing, different frequencies are being boost/cut)?
We have some psychedelic parts on our gigs where I could mess with the wah. I could also use it on some Hendrix songs and just try things out.

All in all, bad idea? Horrible idea? Meh idea?

Sounds like an experimentation moment indeed, best thing to do id try it out. Im no stranger to hooking up guitar pedals to bass, I don't have experience with that particular wah but I have used the Crybaby 535Q which I liked on certain settings, like you said certain things will get cut and others may be boosted. From what I understand thats a pretty basic wah pedal for guitar so your low end will probably get cut but you never know until you hook it up and try! Let us know how it goes!
