| Crybaby all of the sudden very noisy

My crybaby wah pedal has all of the sudden become very noisy. I've messed with cords and power supplies, but it is definitely the pedal. The noise seems to change randomly, with little static pops and other noises. It kind sounds like the wind. I think it's obvious one of the components has gone bad...
Does anyone have any guesses what could have gone bad that would cause noise like this? It's not the wah pot, I disconnected it and it still makes the noise. Any ideas?
