A+ customer support at Jim Dunlop

Just figured I'd share this with the effects community.

I recently picked up a used 105Q off of Craigslist. Seller listed it as having some graffiti on it from a previous owner, as well as having an issue with staying in the "up" position. For the price, I couldn't go wrong.

Who knows how it happened, but the return spring on it was broken off, keeping the wah from staying "up".

With a couple emails to tech support, they not only helped identify what part I needed (the return spring), but they are sending it to me absolutely free!

I'm going to write up a small DIY once I get the parts incase this happens to anyone else.

+1 to Jim Dunlop and their tech support.

I've said it before and I'll say it again...Dunlop's service and support, IMHO, is the best in the business!

Agreed! I picked up an MXR BlowTorch from ebay last year. It worked for about a week, and then the switch crapped out on me. Even though I purchased it from a seller that wasn't guaranteed by Dunlop, they offered to take a look at it and fix it. Switch replaced, and their customer service was really great.

Too bad I don't care for the pedal much.

Don't know if this really fits this thread, but I tried registering my MXR BOD via their website, but it's not designed to accept canadian info. So I sent an e-mail, got a really warm response and after registering, got a bunch of picks, stickers and company info. Must admit, I was impressed. I have 6 or 7registered Boss products and got donut.

I once emailed them asking them for a list of MXR dealers local to me. Their response was to ask my local dealer.

Idiots.
