D.I. Compressors?

Sign in to disble this ad
My apologies if this has been addressed, but searching for 'D.I.' and 'Compressor' has come up with too much for me to look through.

SO!

Aside from the JoeMeek and Aphex units, who else is releasing Compressor/DI units?

To me this seems a lot more useful than a preamp/DI.

Anybody else?

EHX Bass Metaphors, but it has problems. No control over the (noisy) compression and an inability to run an effected DI and amp out at the same time among them.

why the need for such a unit? a good DI and a good compressor are both worth their weight in gold, and the idea of having to cram two things in one box makes me think that the manufacturer is more likely to halfass at least one, if not both, of those things in order to make it work. doesn't seem worth it to me. IMO

I wish Behringer were reading Talkbass forums. The BDI21 is a great unit.

Please clone the JoeMeek FloorQ, Behringer!

There are some very nice studio units that do both to a very high standard; what's your budget?

No budget for one yet but when the time comes I want to know what to look into.

For shame?

I usually take what you say so seriously.

I don't have any problems using clones with plastic enclosures.
