Daisy Chain and battery on same board Question

Sign in to disble this ad
So I realized today that my Hardwire Rv-7 eats batteries, and the planned TC Flashback does as well. SO, i think its time to invest in a daisy chain. I already have a 1spot.

However, I use Fuzz Factory (FF), VT bass (VT), and weeping demon (WD) pedals as well. I dont want to use a Power Supply with the FF. The VT and WD seem to get good battery life but I could see powering the WD with the daisy chain as well.

Do I have to use all batteries, or all daisy chain, or can I power the FF and VT on battery power, and then plug the daisy chain into the RV-7, Flashback, and WD?

Wondering about damage to pedals or general sound i spose.

thanks

The pedals are all independent devices and will run on whatever power source you provide. In general, if you plug into a pedal's power socket it disables the battery source, so if you want a pedal to run off battery then don't plug into it's power socket. But if you have a daisy chain there, I don't know why you wouldn't use it for all pedals (presuming the 1Spot 9V will work for all). You're going to have to remember to unplug the battery-powered ones' instrument input jacks when not in use, or you will drain the batteries.

well the Fuzz Factory works better with a 9v. and i think its just my ocd or some shiz that makes me think i dont wanna use batteries in the VT pedal. I mean unless it works one way over the other there shouldnt be a reason i wouldnt. So 4/5 powered by a daisy i spose.

thanks for the answer man.
