Hi all....

longtime lurker...first time poster


Right,Im trying to track down Pre Amp God Dan Pearce of Pearce electronics...famed for his BC1 preamp used (modded) by Billy Sheehan

The company died or shut up shop in 93...They were based in Buffalo...Im trying to find the man because I need something built to my specs.....basically an updated version of the BC1.

Ive the wedge to (thats Britspeak for £££) pay for it,no limits...ANY price....

SO far all my links on the west coast have drawn a nil,Larry Hartke met him once and that was waaaay long time gone ago....The Canadians Ive met are on the lookout for me,the UK bassists are kinda blank...

Billy (through Facebook) says he see's him once in a while,but lets face it,Im not a name or a 'face' on the global scene...he does not have to give me any info...so Im not going to press the man,hell he's busy with the Mr Big thing....So all I know is that he's ..maybe..just maybe in/around the upper New York State area....

Another bassist said I should contact Paul Reed Smith (of which I will do later) because he's local to Buffalo....in all though,Ive drawn a blank,the name registers,but the body is AWOL....Any NAMMers seen him recently??

Bottom line is this...I want to find the man and see if he would do for me just one last creation....(in a romantic way I've a vision alike to Ray Arcel and Roberto Duran).

Searched around briefly out of curiosity for the preamp...maybe you'd have better luck with a little more diligence (see the search function at the top of the page???). I came across that said he went to work for Ashly, but that thread is 9 years old, (I can't believe we are almost a decade into the new millennium!!).

There is info out there....you just gotta dig it up.
