Dance and Loop Effects, One man Show.

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello there, I had a vision of being able to put on one man dance partys. I want to find a pedal that has good bass dance tones, alot of versatility, where I can change the tones and save a bunch of them and quickly access them. I never wanna be trapt having to use the same tones over and over. I want to be able to loop a nice dance groove line, while I jam some other bass effects over that line. So to be able to play some lead bass, while I have a dance bass line and beat in the background. I would like to be able to have a drum synthesizer on there as well, which I also want to have endless possibilities for. I know it sounds like I am demanding alot, but I had a vision and I am prepared to do whatever it takes to make this a reality. So if you guys know of the equipment I can use to get me in the right direction, that would be fantastic. I am relatively new to effects, but I am a quick learner, and a great bassist. I know some of you tech heads can show me all the pedals and effects I would need to accomplish all of this stuff. So please just give me a response and teach me your ways. Rock on bass gods, can't wait for some great advice. Thanks for your time guys!

Drum machine and an M13 has a ton of sounds available at your feet, in a very simple to use package.

I don't have any knowledge of software based goodies, but I bet they're great as well.

I agree with basteban for the most part. At a minimum, you could do it with a good multi fx + a versatile synth box or fuzz + a drum machine + a robust loop station.

Do you want preprogrammed beats or do you want to do it on the fly? What do you mean by drum synthesizer? Are you talking a Korg Electribe EMX-1 or a Roland GR-20?

My recommendation for that setup would be a Boss GT-10b, a Copilot Orbit fuzz, an Alesis SR-16, and a Boss RC-50 loop station.

Now works with Mainstage too.

I use a laptop and FCB1010 controller.
