Daring Audio Phat Beam!!

Review to come! But as a teaser - This pedal is Sick!!

After being greatly disappointed with the highly praised MarkBass Compressore, I Saved up a little bit more and pulled the trigger on the Phat Beam from New Kids on the Block Daring Audio.
The pedal has been on my board (always on) for about two weeks and I could not be happier. The controls are extremely user friendly and great sounding.
For me, being no compressor guru (wink, wink), the sheer ease of finding usable tones was a huge factor in purchasing and keeping the Phat Beam.
I also found the favorite setting of our resident Guru "Worth the price of admission" and precisely where I started.

I have been in contact with DA several times between ordering > receiving > playing my pedal and they went above and beyond in helping me and accommodating my keen eyesight (thanks Chris!).

I will be adding some more thoughts on this in a few days, but wanted to get away from playing the pedal and start spreading the Word/Love on Daring Audio

I'd love to hear some clips if you get a chance.

I would also be curious to hear some clips; I have the Markbass Compressore and love it. It stays on all the time as well and it was easy to find a great tone, set it, and forget it. What kind of bass do you run through it?

A Clement 32" Scale with Bartolini CBC (Replacing Soon)

Custom B&K (local Connecticut Builder) with a Bartolini Jazz (neck) and 2 Nordstrand Big Singles in the MM position w/active-passive Bart 2 band pre. The Bass also has a Five way pup selector
1. - Neck
2. - Neck & Bridge
3. - Middle
4. - Middle & Bridge
5. - Bridge

it is a lot of fun to play!! I will post a pic later

New review in BassPlayer magazine.

I will try and articulate some more of my thoughts, but short version is that I still Love this pedal and leave it on.
