DARK BOOST Question

Sign in to disble this ad
I just got a Dark Boost the other day and right now I have it after my Big Muff. Anytime I have the Big Muff on and engage the Dark Boost the Big Muff completly cuts out. Has anyone experianced something like this before? I thought it maybe a problem with having the boost on w/ the Dark Boost but it doesn't seem to matter.
When I turn off the Muff and engage the Boost and turn on anyone of my other pedals it works fine. The Muff works fine by itself ... no problems. I plan on taking my pedalboard apart today and moving some things around to see its the order but it just seems weird.

On that particular board I have a Big Muff --> Dark Boost --> Hyperion --> GZ Octave

Interesting... you have the octave effect after 3 dirt pedals. That might sound killer, but it still seems counterintuitive to me. I'd have them in the following order: Octave>DB>Hyperion>BM. You might not even need both the hyperion and the Muff!

Ya, I'm looking at the order now ... I wish the Octave gave me all I need but it seems much much weaker than the Hyperion. I use the Muff for a more vintage fuzz sound and the Hyperion for that Oh My Goodness crunch fuzz

Well that was it ... switched the order and now the Dark Boost is working its evil magic!

I just love success stories! I would have never guessed the pedal shuffle was it. I have the Ruiner and it is very temperamental.
