DBX 160A output question

Sign in to disble this ad
I have a DBX 160A compressor:
ftp://ftp.dbxpro.com/pub/PDFs/Manual...0AManualA2.pdf

I am using the 1/4 inch jacks in the back of the DBX160a to go in and out from the effects loop of my bass amplifier (a GK 700RBII).
I want to run a *second* amplifier with the signal from my DBX16a.
Can I use the "balanced" (microphone cord) output from the back of my DBX160a to feed the input of another bass amplifier (a MarkBass Little Mark II)? Or will this damage something?
That is, can I use both outputs (balanced and 1/4 inch output) at the same time?

Thanks,
JC JC

http://www.samedaymusic.com/product--ARTPROVLAII..............I too use that same compressor (DBX160a). Like many (or almost all) that have an out that you can either use 1/4 or xlr it should cancel out the other one. Or at least it should. Not a good idea...but they do make these and at $299 im thinkin of trying one or split my signal after it has been compressed.

I contacted DBX tech support:

"This should work as the parallel resistance total is 15 K which is over 10 times the output impedence of the dbx160A. (30 ohms)."
