Here it is short and sweet so I don't bore you guys:
1) 1 rack space to be filled wth a compressor
2) pedal comp not in the cards
3) compressor review thread has been read
4) messages have been exchanged with Bongo
5) for a variety of reasons I am about to push the BIN button on Ebay to order the dbx 166XL. Checked local stores and their selection is weak at best
6) went through old threads and found a couple of opinions on the dbx 166XL but decided to fish for more
The dbx 166XL seems to be a decent compressor and has a price that I am willing to pay. The 1066 is another way to go but it would also be double the money by the time I get it through my door. I had also considered the BBE Maxcom but it seems that for every good review of it there are 2 or 3 neutral or negative reviews.
So dbx 166XL users are you happy?
