DBX 266 XL owners - did this ever happened to you?

Hi

Got a DBX 266 XL comp/gate which have served me great for six months.

The other day while rehearsing the rig went dead silent but all lights where lit and all. Everything seemed in order.
I checked the cables and all was ok but still no sound.

Then I noticed that the comp-leds on the 266 XL didn't responded when I plucked the strings which it normally do.
So I disconnected the power cord and refitted it.
Voila! Everything worked again.

First thought was some kinda overheat / auto-fuse but techs at DBX didn't recognize that.

Anyone have had this happen too?

Sounds like a loose connection to me. Maybe the unit got dropped/bumped and a wire or solder point broke loose, and then set back in place when you re-fitted the cord. If that happened, then it will be intermittent again in the future, so you'd want to have a tech physically look at it.

Oki. If it happens again I'll ask a tech to have a look.

Thanks, Bongo.
