Okay, so I noticed alot of threads are sort of out of date here, and I'm kind of new to the whole compressor/limiter/gate/expander realm.
I recently purchased a 266XL used for $40. Only thing wrong with it was that it was dusty, and so far from what I can tell works properly. But like I said, I'm new to it.
Right now my rig is nothing special; GK Goldline 500 (only using the poweramp), with a Sansamp RBI chained using the effects loop (Sansamp is my pre-amp so to speak). Then I have the signal going into the 266XL then back into poweramp.
I accomplished quieting my rig, which was the main goal, but now I just need some guidance in setting this guy up.
