DC power for pedals...

Sign in to disble this ad
i have a BOSS TU-2 and a chorus. i know the TU-2 is capable of powering several pedals and i looked at the boss dc adapter but i dont like it ( they are too close and i don't/will never have 8 pedals). I was wondering if anyone had experience making their own DC power cable for pedals? and is there anything crucial i need to know? i use some stuff thru the input and some pedals thru my FX loop so just one of the boss adapters won't work (but i still dont want to have all the extra jacks)

Never say never. Pretty much all the daisy chain type adaptors I've seen are like that. I don't know if you want to make your own power supply unless you're handy at that type of thing. The FX loop on your amp is for rack effects not pedals. Just plug in your bass>pedals>amp input.

Rackmount effects are generally designed to operate at line level (which is what an amp's effects loop is going to output at); stomps are generally designed to work at instrument level.

yeah I don't really use the loop anymore. mainly what I used it cause I usually leave my chorus on all the time and I just didn't want pedals on the floor in the way (small practice space).
