A decision between pedals/preamps..

Sign in to disble this ad
Sorry for my flustered post, I'm a little out of it

My setup is an Ampeg BA115, and a Fender P Bass. I'm looking for a diverse pedal for alternative/modern rock/classic rock/funk etc..

Two that I know of are:

MXR M-80 Bass Direct Box with Distortion
and
Tech 21 SansAmp Bass Driver DI

Theres a big price difference.. 200 on average for the sansamp and around 150 or so for the M-80. What will give me the biggest bang for my buck? Both have good ratings. For the record im not in much of a position to go try them out so this is my best option. outside opinions! :]

If you can comment on the distortion on either of these pedals it'd be great. I use my guitarist's octafuzz on occasion and it sounds beautiful, can I get a similar sound, or a nice sounding deep fuzz on these?

Any suggestions on other pedals would be appreciated as well!

Thanks in advance,
Kyle
