Dedicated volume boost pedal??

Sign in to disble this ad
I was using an Ibanez CP9 as a boost for slap-lines, also because it seemed to add a little "zing" to the sound. Well, it crapped out and my Boss LM-2's "Enhancer" now supplies the "zing", so I'm left needing a pedal for purely kicking up the volume a notch or two.

Since I already have an eq pedal, I'd prefer to stay away from that. Sorry if this is a stupid question, but any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

I use a catalinbread serrano picoso, but I got it because it's tiny and fits in the limited space on my board. There are a ton of clean boosts out there, check ebay. The first one I had was a prototype made by the guy at Bümbox amps call the Büst. Got it for like 50 bucks and it was great.

While I have been reluctant to recommend EH pedals in the past, the LPB-1 does exactly what you want for a measly $40 or so! I've tested it & have to admit that the LPB is a great sounding clean-volume boost.

Barber Launch Pad, very good clean boost.
A tad pricey but no coloration and well built.

Plus note we've had some massive threads on this subject very recently.

How about the MXR Micro amp. Litle white pedal, one knob, clean boost.

I use a GEB-7. Has volume if you just want a volume boost and you can do some EQing with it as well.
