Delay help

Sign in to disble this ad
Guy's I really need help
I've been GASing a while for a dd20, which to me seems to be the be all and end all for me.......hold fire .... everyones entitled to opinions right.
What I really want is a delay and looper(audio), and thats where the boss units seems to suit me best(i did look at a dl4 first, but switches and promblems i read put me off).
However, I look at various delay threads and lots of pedals pop up especially the subdecay echobox.
I know I'll probably be told to try everything out but thats not that easy where i am, with the only decent shop an hour away on the bus lol (16 yrs old).
So i was just wandering on your opinions etc, the boss pedal would be the price range, are the similar pedals, or could you sugest two seprate pedals?
Any help will do

Greg

I had a DL-4(no problems though I had it a little over a year)& liked it; replaced it w/a SMMH for the ability to loop w/any delay setting(DL-4's looper has one limited delay). Not sure the SMMH is the end of the journey for me, as there are things it does very well & things it doesn't do at all.

The SMMH and Carbon Copy seem to compliment each other nicely.

You really can't go wrong with the DD20. It's most difinately a top-notch, fully professional delay. killer fidelity, famous for dependability...

I'm a real Boss fan. I own and use many. I chose the Space Echo for my own delay/verb - but I also have the RC-20 for looping.

See all the people looking down their noses at Boss on the internet? Look on the concert stages: The big boys 'look down' at'em all the time, for $1000 a show.

I read they are directly soldered onto the pcb making it easy to break.

Hmm DD20 still seems the way to go

You could always buy used. That would belp retain your money in resale, if you didn't like one pedal or wanted to try another.

I've been looking on the bay frequently, its seems rare for dd20s to be a real steal, when i see some dd3s on there now for around £15, ($30ish i belive).

hmm choices...
