I want a nice warm but clear delay, I think I've narrowed my choices down to these:
Malekko Ekko 616
Subdecay Echobox
MXR Carbon Copy
EHX Memory Boy Deluxe
I know they are all quite different. Any feelings on the differences both in sound and usability live would be great. |

616: the versatility rocks, but something just feels missing, especially comparing it to it's predecessor, the E600 (which freaking rules. I like it better than all these choices by far, but I'm working with ya)
CC: It just sounds too..eh. I dunno. Not enough balls/oomph/bite, maybe? Can't remember, it's been a while.
Echobox: very clean, and very strong repeats, but still analog-feely. and the warble controls are nice, have a good range.
Help much?

I haven't tried the 616 but I did try the CC and felt like it was lacking. As for the EHX, I've gone through and tried enough of their pedals to know I don't want to own another - shoddy QC, cheap parts, etc.
I do love the Echobox and if I still used it (or any modulation for that matter) I wouldn't be selling it. |

Help much? | That does help. The E600 sounds intriguing... Was it the Dark or Bright version, and what did you like about it that put it ahead of the 616 and the Echobox? Are they still available? |

With clean bass or modulation in front of it, it had the most delicious tone and decay and fullness. Unfortunately, with excessive dirt (which I am a frequent user of), it can sometimes get muddy and meh. Do I regret selling it? Yep. Nad talked me out of it a few times, but when I did, I felt a bit emptier.
