I've never been one to use many effects...( I like to toy with them, but when I play live, they don't seem to do much for my sound) BUT...I bought a Fishman delay, and hooked it up...with just a TINY bit of tweaking, my Wendler sounds like a NICELY miced upright.

( I have been searching for THAT particular sound now for YEARS.) The Wendler has a BEAUTIFUL tone, and the delay just " rounds it out". I am NOW...FINALLY a "satisfied" bass player. With a Carvin 5-string fretless for my LOW mellow stuff...my Carvin B4 for the Country Rock...and now a very pleasent upright sound, I'm in bass-player heaven. Thanks to ALL of you who write in great advice for us "Old-Timers".
