I know the new digitech Hardwire will do this. Are there any others? |

Hadn't heard of it before. Checked it out online and it seems great.
Crappy site though, so I'm left with questions :
- how long is the looping?
- can you add to the loop? Remove additions?
Thanks.

It's now become the heart of my pedalboard due to the number of unusual, but highly useable sounds onboard as well as the delays.
Anyway, enough going off-topic from me! haha! |

Thanks. | Check the interactive demo on the site too, it's pretty cool and demos some pre-sets (unfortunately with a guitar but you get the idea).
Is only a simple stacking looper (no removing layers possible currently). I think the loop time is 12 seconds. The good thing with it is that there are regular software updates which have increased the specs greatly since the original details were posted e.g. now it is 40 instead of 20 presets and a lot of functional things have been added/improved with more to come.
There are several types of bypass onboard depending if you want the trails or true bypass. |

Thanks. | I hope this is alright to bump. The looper is 12 seconds at full resolution. But, it can record 24 or 48 seconds with lesser fidelity. I have been playing with it at the 24 second setting and during jamming with CDs I do not notice inferior sound. I'm also using the 'filter' knob on it as a high pass for the recorded sound (you can adjust the loop to cut lows, highs, or none). It is also nice in that it can time loops and start/stop with 'beats', derived via MIDI (an Alesis SR 18 in my case).
Regarding dubbing, you can indeed dub over a loop either by means of addition or substitution. It would be cool to have more than one loop in memory (or 'layers' as Andy wrote) but that isn't possible now. |
