Deluxe Bazz Fuss

Has anyone here built the Deluxe Bazz Fuss from http://www.home-wrecker.com/bazz.html

I was thinking it might be cool to mess around with some effects so I was wondering if anyone has tried this with bass? It sounds pretty good with guitar and was originally built for bass, but they have no bass clips on the site. If this one is total crap, can anyone lead me in the direction of a good sounding DIY bass pedal?
