Demeter Compulator problem

Sign in to disble this ad
Ive been using a compulator for a bit over a year now. Just tried playing without it and realized its not sounding how it used to. Its actually been making my bass sound thin and a little distorted. Any idea what this might be?? I mean i can still get a good sound with it in. But not the best sound if that makes sense. Is it worth getting it checked out or should i opt to get a new compressor??

Hard to know by long distance, but it's not a common problem. Are you using a different power supply than you used to, or is the supply you're using possibly old and beat? Do you have a different power supply you can try?

The power supply is pretty old but still works fine with my other pedals. but the problem still happens with a battery. tested it today.

Hmmm... Sounds like it's time to email James Demeter, describe the problem to him. He'll probably suggest you send it in to him for repair, so you'll have to do the math and decide whether the cost of postage and repair is greater or less than the cost of getting a new pedal.

I've called Demeter before and James sometimes answers the phone. I asked about a pre and they put James on. Seemed very nice and an willing to answer questions.
