This is Devi's latest run, with the Legend of Zelda paint job (as you can see). Summary
This is quite an awesome pedal, and it's my favorite fuzz pedal I've ever tried. It is not a warm muff-like fuzz by any stretch. Instead, it is a synthy, bit-reduced, unruly chainsaw of a fuzz. Absolutely no loss of low end. The bottom-end of this pedal is ridiculous. This may have been made for guitar, but to my ears it sounds like it was born to be with bass.
Very small box, same size as an MXR Phase 90. It takes a standard Boss 9V barrel adapter, or a 9V battery. It is true bypass. Controls
Two knobs, volume and control. This is a very high-gain pedal, I rarely turn volume past 9:00. The position of the control knob can have a big impact on the tone. When this knob is turned up (clockwise), it is a thick, sustained, sawtooth-esque synthy fuzz. When turned down (counter-clockwise), it becomes a very glitchy, spitting, lo-fi fuzz, with very little sustain, and begins to sound like an underpowered pedal (i.e. like a dying battery).
You might think that with the knob at noon, it is a good mix of these two extremes. Not so much. I find that I really only like this pedal at one extreme or the other. In the middle is just kind of, ehhh. But either most of the way up or down, AWESOME. On to the clips
All of these were recorded with my Carvin B5 active bass directly into the BIT, then into a Boss LMB-3. My amp is a Peavey Mark VI, and my cabs are a Peavey 1x15 and a GK 2x10. I tried to do clips that covered the full range of the bass, from my G down to my low B. DISCLAIMER: any resemblence of these clips to real songs is unintended, accidental and poorly played Clip 1 - Riff up on my G string. First with the Control knob at 3:00, then again with control at 8:00. Clip 2 - Now a riff on my low E. Control knob same as before, 3:00 and then 8:00. Clip 3 - Now I drop down to my low B to show you the low-end. BEEFY. Same changes on control. Clip 4 - Shameless Muse clips. I couldn't help myself.

I found that higher input actually smoothes things out a bit.

EDIT: You should also add these to the clips wiki, if your to lazy to I suppose I will.

I'm really interested in these Devi Ever pedals, I'll probably order a few soon. Too bad the BIT is sold out on the site I want to buy it from.

I might buy one, but it is almost $100 |

| | | | Have you tried the Devi Ever Bass Fuzz? I love that pedal! Not sure how it compares to the BIT. But it's awsome! |

I might buy one, but it is almost $100 | I love it. Absolutely, unequivocally the best gated fuzz I've ever played. I've played around with a wooly mammoth, and a few others like the blowtorch, and I personally think this thing blows them all away. It is one of the few that have earned a permanent place on my board. Highest recommendation |
