Devi Ever Cherry Pop Review

Sign in to disble this ad
Well, even with 12 inches of snow, USPS never fails .

Got the Devi Ever Cherry pop today. A pretty nice sounding fuzz with no low end lose...it can actually boost it quite well with the tone knob cranked.

It's a very mean fuzz that almost sounds offensive . The control knob, which controls how much fuzz is let out, puts out a huge sounding wall of fuzz to a small amount of grit that almost sounds like the Devi Ever BIT on low levels.

The tone knob is backwards...more bass clockwise and more treble counter-clockwise. When you crank that tone knob, the low end boost is hugeeee. Careful at high volumes fellas.

The decay of the fuzz is unique just like most Devi Ever pedals. Sounds like my speakers are blown or something

Without further ado...

wow, very cool!...I'm not a fuzz kinda guy (on bass), but that clip reminded me of Roger Glover's (Deep Purple) tone on "Space Truckin"...

Sounds slick. I'm glad I'm finished with fuzz. Otherwise I might have had to try one of these out

Hey Chronicle, try turning you bass's volume way down through the CP and see what happens

I totally love DE Cherry Pops I have two and they are actually a little different sounding from one another.

Id like for Devi to do one of the "mangler" pedals with this on one side and the Bass Fuzz on the other.

Sounds pretty awesome! Not my cup of tea, but still a good fuzz tone.

Thanks for the clip, but this is one of the few fuzzes that sounded just "meh" to me. I didn't care for the flavor of fuzz on this one, I actually think it sounds pretty tame and "dark"

Different strokes for different folks I guess.

Perhaps. On the other hand I have a one that is off the first run that went out, and a later one, the newer one sounds like Chronicle's clip, the older one is louder and MUDDIER, it is like a wall of thundering fuzzy mud.

Very cool sounding pedal.

I ordered a Devi Ever Dark Boost in January, still don't have it.

You're right, it does sound like a Bit with the control level down which helps support a theory of mine.

That Devi definitely sticks with one design in mind? Yeah, I sort of agree.

No, I contacted the company I ordered from (madape.com). They replied very quickly, said that Devi Ever was waiting on parts to finish them and that they would be back in stock and shipped out in a couple weeks... Unfortunately that was the 10th of last month. Sent them another email today actually, asking what was up.

I waited close to a couple months for my Supercollider, so I can wait for the Dark Boost.
