As far as I know they are decals. Very durable though.

For that price, I wouldn't expect hand-painted. My GZ is an evil octave fuzz, and killer sounding.

Just be aware that they are as extreme as the write-ups say. Mine is anyway. NO "subtle transparency" here! It's full-on fuzz, which is exactly what I wanted.

Regardless of whether it's painted or a decal, I thought it was extremely clever that the picture of Godzilla on the Godzilla and the GZ pedal is actually something completely different....
