I remember this being a problem with the Eye of God.

I remember this being a problem with the Eye of God. | I was wondering the same thing. I notice in the video there are two stomp switches and they are both active the whole time. I'm thinking that one of them activates the gate function. |

I remember this being a problem with the Eye of God. | Yes. One footswitch activates the loop. The other engages the gate.
Monsieur Mingus got it.

If it doesn't cost $200 like the Enveloope I'd consider the Heaven's Gate.

| I was wondering the same thing. Does that mean when the first switch is engaged (similar to a bypass or on/off switch?) that the loop is engaged just as if the pedals were directly in the chain? And when the second switch is engaged it applies the "cool" part of the pedal? Quote: |

Enveloope only has one footswitch.
Master Volume, Mix, Sensitivity, Loop Pre-gain

Heaven's Gate doesn't play well with gainy pedals. me - In the loop? Or in general (before/after)? devi ever : fx - In the loop. I'm still messing with it, but it's very weird. I mean, it's not to say using gain pedals is impossible.. the Hyperion is usable with some tweaking... but for some reason the Rocket is totally freakin' out, and a Boss DS-1 won't let any clean signal through. I'm not giving up on the bastard... and it might just be wanna of those learning curve situations... still releasing the ****ers regardless, because it sounds great with modulation / delay.

Or is it just overdrive/distortion that makes the Gate freak out? Quote: |

However -- the Enveloope seemed like the perfect effect to me. It has a fatal flaw!!!
The gate closes on the effect RETURN side of the loop. Even a Tech-Dolt like me can realize that this will abruptly cut off the wet signal.
How many millions times better would it be for the bass signal to cut at the beginning of the loop? That way -- you could still hear the trail of your signal traveling through the loop, probably decaying smoothly through a Reverb or Delay at the end of the chain.
Does the Heavens Gate Close at Loops Start, or End?
thanks
