Some of Devi's pedals are quite bass-friendly; others are not.
The Destructo Noctavia is a noisy, screamy, octavia-style pedal which has a high-pass filter in the first stage. In other words, bye-bye low-end.
The Bass Fuzz (which she will be renaming soon to the Super Massive Black Hole), the Bit, the Hyperion, the Cherry Pop, and the Shoe Gazer all have a decent amount of low-end and I would consider to be bass-friendly.
The Torn's Peaker and all of its derivatives (which include the Aenima, Never Drive, Noctavia, White Spider, etc) are pretty trebley, and may be lacking the low-end you're looking for. |

| | | | +1 on Legend of Fuzz. I'm running it before my Micro POG and it can get stupidly synthy. It's just as articulate as my Flying Tomato (a "gated" fuzz with a bias control) but MUCH more aggressive and synthetic sounding. |

| | | | Devi Pedals I own a bunch of DE pedals. An E13 Synth Mangler, Eye of God, Dark Boost, and OK.
I think all of them have their applications. The Dark Boost is wonderful in conjunction with other fuzzes and drives in general. I've been using it every night on bass for the last 4 months through my SVT VR and it is very versatile. It always seems to have a little grit, but that isn't really a bad thing is it?
I guess that all in all moderation is the key, unless you feel like wearing a speaker cone, which is enjoyable at times. I find a great joy in making them work in situations you'd not expect them.
which pedals are you looking at? |

Now I'm looking into the the Bass Fuzz and Vintage Fuzz Master. The Destructo is a cool idea, but it seems to have alot of noise

The joystick concept is great for on the spot tweaking (I use it on electronics, as well), but not great if you carry it around and hope to recreate the exact sound you tweaked at home. Not a huge deal.
I tend to switch the bit on only or have the VFM barely blended in, for the most part in live situations. The fuzz sounds great, but I prefer blending the bit with my Bass Fuzz.
The chaos and noise switches rarely get used for me (guitarists likes them when he records). They're a bit chaotic (yes...I know) live and hard to control.
It has its place and I'll keep it. My guitarist loves it on guitar, though. Great for a dying synth sound. |

The most 'bass friendly' are the GZ, Karaoke Party, Cherry Pop, Aenima, SM & Hyperion.
The KP has more of an over drive sound rather than all out fuzz.
The Bit (legend of fuzz) is fun and nasty.
The Year of The Rat is nice, more of a general all round fuzz.
It's a bit bright with bass, but not too bad.
The TP, and Never Drive are very treble balanced.
The Distructo Noctavia is just nasty, not bass friendly at all, lots of top end.
It does make it sound like your amp is blowing up.
I've found the several of her pedals respond very well to a voltage drop circuit (dieing battery) smoothing out and getting darker overall. Especially the SM and Hyperion.
The Dark Boost alone or behind any other pedal darkens every thing up (more bass) and sounds great on it's own.
The Distructo Noctavia run into an SM with a dieing battery does sound great with bass.
While some of her pedals may not be all that versatile, they sound like nothing else out there.

The CP and OK work great with bass, the DF doesn't without a low pass filter after it, but I bought the pedal because I wanted the sound of a dying battery and it does that very well
edit: I also have a peep which is just cool!

I've never played one on bass that I didn't like, ever. Some don't throw out as much low end, but they make up for it with a great fuzz sound. |
