Devi Ever Ruiner or Wren and Cuff Pickle Pie B

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey there. I'm looking at getting a new fuzz pedal and I've been debating between these two pedals. I use a black russian big muff currently and I've just been wanting to open it up a bit without losing the bottom end and I was looking at these two pedals. I know that the Pickle Pie is about $200 and the Ruiner is just under $100, but the Pickle Pie has the blend as well.
I was just wondering if anyone has seen drawbacks of either of these first hand. Also, the other pedal I use is an EHX Micropog, if that makes a difference. I don't have it on all the time, but I use it every two songs or so. Thanks for the help!

I have a POG and I have a Pickle Pie B. They work together without any issues.

Can't comment on the Ruiner.

so...... i love Devi's stuff. i'm deeply infatuated with her just from her video's and pedal builds. but i've owned 4 of her pedals, and none of them except for the Super Massive Black Hole was really tuned to deal with bass very well. i love the OK, but it only has one sound it can do when you're running a bass through it.

the Pickle Pie B is just Fuzzy Death On WHEELS. kills. awesome, awesome pedal. that and the Iron Ether Oxide are my favorites right now. and the PPB has been on my board for longer than anything except a VT.

love it.

I'm lusting after the Tri Pie... and am "this" close to buying one.

You may now go back to your regularly scheduled topic.

I want 'em both. BOTH.

sadly, my next gear purchase will be for a vocal mic and small mixer.
I'm hoping to grab one of these pedals this year, but it will almost surely be 2011
before I have both in my hands.

havent tried the devi, but i bought a ppb about a year ago. That thing is amazing, straight out of the box with a pos cort and a behringer 30w combo it sounded great, and with my spector rebop into an eden wt-800b it sounds amazing, plenty of bottom end (plus a blend knob) plus more gain than you could possible need. also if you turn the saturation up past 3 o'clock or so you start to get some nice glitching

the only problem i've had is that the knobs have come loose a bit, but this is an easy fix.

oh and it sounds great on guitar too

I think you'd be much happier with the PPB
