Devi Ever VF initial impressions

This showed up yesterday. I have been kinda short on spare time, but I found myself with a few spare minutes this mourning. This thing is intense. The controls are volume and intensity. With a switch for noise. With the noise switched off intesity 0 and volume set to unity it is pretty hairy. Not too much low end loss. Reasonably useable for what I do. Chords are out of the question though. As the intesity rises the usefulness of the pedal for anything other than noise starts to diminish. Flip on the noise switch and well you get noise. Mostly fills up the space between notes with a fairly random higher pitched noise. The pitch is affected by the position of the intesity knob. Love this thing so far. But definatly not for everyone. Oh some things I forgot to mention. Construction is top notch. The inside is reasonably tidy. My only gripe is that there is not enough space for the battery. Meaning the cover is hard to screw closed. But there is an a/c adapter jack.

Yeah. I am going to try and get some sound clips and do a proper review. I also plan to order a DB.

If the Noise switch is anything like the Reso control of the Zoom Ultra Fuzz (and it kinda sounds like it is), the pitch of the high-pitched tone can also be controlled by the volume control on your bass.
