Devi Ever Vintage Fuzz Master (VFM) - Extra Switch?

I bought a Devi VFM off the bay (I know first mistake) and the guy said it was new, never used, etc, etc. The picture and links of the ad went right to the Devi sight and I played the clips and like what I heard. What arrived was a brand new Devi VFM, but it has a switch!! I can't figure out what this thing does except make it more insane. Anyone have any ideas? Is this normal or a mod? Dogs and cat were begging for me to let them out of the house when I switched it back and forth. Funny thing I haven't seen that cat for a couple of months - at least it's still alive.

I have a VFM just like that. The switch in question is a chaos switch, which Devi has featured on various pedals, but hasn't kept on all models. I think people just like them more in some of her circuits than others. As far as I can tell, the Soda Meiser is the pedal that has had a chaos switch most consistently. Some models of the Torn's Peaker had them as well.

As far as how it works, I believe that it triggers an internal feedback loop. The entire purpose is, as you suggest, to make it sound even more insane.
