Devi Pedals - Did I miss something?

Sign in to disble this ad
Did Devi discontinue a bunch of pedals? I can't find some of them on her website anymore (e.g., the Dark Boost, Year of the Rat, Destructo Noctavia, all the Boost Pedals (e.g., 33, 05/25), Electric Brown, etc.).

Yes, but some may still be found at distributors who carry that line.

Yeah she discontinued a whole bunch of her line.

It happens.

Just glad I got my dark boost while they were easily obtainable.

Thanks for the responses. That's too bad. Looks like I need to grab a Dark Boost while they're still available.

Have you tried it with the voltage control? It seems like that would work best with guitar.

I had noticed that Musictoys.com and Musician's Friend had mutually exclusive selections of her pedals.

If I understand how it works, starving voltage is the principal that the gating on the wooly mammoth and some other pedals works on.

Just buy the cheapest. They all sound the same.

i almost agree.

i used to have a hyperion..really cool, but not worth getting a clean blender for. i think it diddn't like my actives, but was still questionable with passive basses.

a ton of devi's pedals i wouldent be able to tell apart in a blindfolded a/b, probably.

Most of her fuzzes are similar but she also has some overdrives and the darkboost (or had). And about three of her fuzzes are actually useful IMO.

Must we say the most common ignorant statement about her pedals?

Perhaps she's replacing them with a still TBD line. Fingers crossed for a bass-dedicated OD.

That would be nice. I'm glad I got my Electric Brown when I did. It's a solid overdrive for bass.

I probably wouldn't have put it as blunt as toasted, but he's pretty much right. Not to say that it's a bad sound, but there isn't much variety in the pedals.

I think this is an absurdly ignorant thing to say. If you weren't aware, Devi's line stretches all the way from very subtle overdrive to smooth, Muff-like fuzz, to harsh, oscillating octave fuzzes. To say there is no variety in her pedals is to show that you (and Toasted) either don't know what you're talking about, or just want to say inflammatory things to mess with people.

+1. If you are saying the Cherry Pop and Soda Meiser sound the same, it's because they ARE the same. Do your research before making comments.
