They were reading through the script and the guy that does the voice of the darleks was using a mic into a moog ring mod.

I thought this was common knowledge, but it's still a really cool piece of trivia.

I saw the programme and it was funny - especially the script run-throughs - so all the actors in plain clothes sitting round a big table....

But then when it comes to a line from a Dalek, the guy says his lines through the ring-modulator and all the rest of the cast fell about laughing!

I know, if I could I'd always speak through a ring modulator
