When I'm listening to Orion, I wonder apart from fuzz, if Cliff used a pitch shifter (with 5ths) or just an octaver at that legendary bass solo part (most people even did not recognize it was bass and not another Kirk Hammett solo). I'm talking about the part at 6:37. Here is the link, originally recorded by Cliff (RIP): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ry7w895NCsU
Just a little note: thanks to Guitar Hero when I've found original bass tracks (collected from the game) of some songs I was one of the most happy guys on Earth. I wish they'll put some Iron Maiden songs to next GHs (there is one, but it is a cover version, not originally played by the band). Yes 'Arry is clearly audible but I'd like to hear his bass lines alone

I've not seen your thread before, thanks for the tab. I'll give that second bass part to the guitarist and see how it'll sound together. Thanks again.

| | | | Nah its an overdub, see Cliff's performance from 1984-1985 of For Whom The Bell Tolls to hear the pitchshifter.
